Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 16, 2026 · Last updated: May 16, 2026

Draft. Final policy will be reviewed by counsel before public launch.

1. Who we are

SuperCabs, LLC ("SuperCabs," "we," "us," or "our") operates the SuperCabs website, mobile app, voice booking line, dispatcher phone line, and in-vehicle service in Central Pennsylvania. Our principal office is at 30 Hoffman St., Lebanon, PA 17046, and you can reach us at (717) 273-3941 or privacy@supercabs.app. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: first and last name, email, phone number, hashed password, and (optionally) date of birth and accessibility preferences.
  • Ride information: pickup and destination addresses, ride status, scheduled and actual times, route taken, fare, tip, driver assigned, and ratings.
  • Location data: live device GPS during an active ride (rider and driver), to enable ETA, route, and safety features. Riders’ live GPS is collected only while a ride is active or you have explicitly enabled background location.
  • Payment data: we do not store full card numbers. Payment cards are tokenized and stored by Stripe under their security controls. We retain only the last four digits, card brand, and expiry for receipts.
  • Communications: SMS notifications you receive, chat transcripts with our AI support assistant or a human agent, and voice recordings of bookings placed through our AI voice line (you are notified of the recording when the call connects).
  • In-vehicle dash-cam footage: SuperCabs vehicles may record video and audio during a ride for safety, insurance, and dispute resolution. Recordings are retained for a limited period and accessed only by authorized staff.
  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser/app type, pages visited, crash reports, and similar diagnostics, used to keep the service running and secure.
  • Caregiver and business-account data: if you list caregivers to be notified about your rides or work for a business account, we collect their contact details to send ride notifications and statements.

3. How we use information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and operate the ride service, including dispatch, payments, and receipts.
  • Communicate ride status to you and to caregivers you designate.
  • Send service messages (booking confirmations, receipts) and, with consent, marketing.
  • Provide AI-assisted booking, dispatch optimization, and customer support.
  • Operate safety features such as dash-cam review for incidents and emergency response.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and unsafe behavior.
  • Comply with legal obligations, including Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission requirements.
  • Improve the service through aggregated analytics and product research.

4. AI features and how your data is used

SuperCabs uses Anthropic Claude as our AI model provider for voice booking, support chat, OCR of driver documents, demand forecasting, and dispatch ranking. When you interact with an AI feature:

  • Your message or voice transcript is sent to Anthropic to generate a response. We do not train AI models on your data, and Anthropic processes inputs under its commercial API terms (no training on inputs by default).
  • We retain the question/response pair in our own systems to improve our AI tools, with personal identifiers truncated after 30 days through an automated cleanup job.
  • You can request a human agent at any time by saying so to the voice agent or clicking Talk to a person in the chat widget. AI is always optional.

5. Who we share information with

We share information only with:

  • Drivers assigned to your ride — your first name, pickup address, destination, and special instructions you provide. Drivers receive only what they need to complete the ride.
  • Service providers who process data on our behalf, including Stripe (payments), Twilio (SMS and voice), Google Maps (geocoding and routing), Anthropic (AI), and our cloud and email infrastructure. Each provider is bound by a data-processing agreement.
  • Business accounts you ride under, if your employer or organization has a SuperCabs business account. They receive itemized statements showing the rides charged to their account.
  • Caregivers you have designated, for the ride notification channels you have enabled (SMS, email).
  • Insurance carriers, law enforcement, or courts when required by law, valid legal process, or to respond to an imminent safety threat. We resist over-broad requests.
  • An acquirer or successor in the event of a merger, sale, or reorganization, subject to this Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. How long we keep your data

  • Account records: while your account is open, plus 12 months after closure.
  • Ride records (including pickup/destination, fare, route): up to 7 years for tax, accounting, and PUC compliance.
  • Payment receipts: up to 7 years for tax purposes.
  • Dash-cam footage: typically 14–30 days unless attached to an incident review.
  • AI inputs and outputs: 30 days in identifiable form, then redacted automatically.
  • Support transcripts: 24 months unless attached to an ongoing investigation.
  • Marketing preference data: until you opt out, plus a short suppression-list window.

7. Your choices and rights

You can:

  • Access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you.
  • Opt out of marketing emails (every marketing message includes an unsubscribe link).
  • Disable SMS notifications from your account settings.
  • Decline location services in your device settings (some features will not work without location).
  • Request a copy of a ride receipt, route, or fare breakdown at any time.
  • File a complaint with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General or your local data-protection authority if you believe we have violated this policy.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@supercabs.app or write to us at the address above. We will verify your identity before fulfilling a request and respond within 30 days.

8. Children

SuperCabs is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact privacy@supercabs.app and we will delete it.

9. Security

We protect your information with industry-standard safeguards including TLS in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, access controls for staff, regular vulnerability scanning, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@supercabs.app.

10. International users

SuperCabs operates in Pennsylvania, United States. If you access the service from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be processed in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those of your country.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date and, where appropriate, communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the service after a change indicates acceptance.
